Subtle Racism

I enjoy many things. Many of those things are simple. And one simple thing that I particularly enjoy is pointing out subtle racism.
We live in 2013 (Most of us anyways. That’d be cool if someone from the future was reading this.) and for the most part, we as a society have made meaningful steps towards racial equality. However, there seems to be a few remaining vestiges of bigotry. One specifically that I’d like to expose today is something that affects us all. But mostly the children. Yes, the children are at risk! Ha ha. Are you on the edge of your chair with wheels? Good.
Do you think it’s appropriate to call people colored? Hm. I don’t think so either. I’d imagine it would be quite offensive to be referred to as colored. But there is a double standard!
Colored pencils.
Why not something a little bit more socially tolerant, such as diversity pencils? Crayola better watch out before they have a lawsuit on their hands.
